Interested in performing at Red Bus Food Park?
Red Bus Food Park is a community hotspot in San Marcos, Tex. Located just a stone’s throw from the TSU campus, the Park is smack dab in the middle of a major residential area. There are several apartment complexes full of students in the immediate vicinity, as well as several neighborhoods with a mix of San Martians young and young-at-heart. It’s a great place to perform and we’d love to have you.
Red Bus Park is an all-ages family-friendly establishment best suited for acoustic solo, duo, and trio acts. However we do feature bigger/louder acts on the weekends and lineup shows are possible.
We have a small but mighty PA here which we use regularly for Open Mic. You are also free to bring your own. We also have a relationship with Studio San Martian and can help you line up as much sonic firepower as you need for a larger show.
Here’s a list of our house system:
Gemini PA-300BT Column PA (2)
Gemini GEM-12 Channel USB Mixer (1)
Shure SM58 Microphones (2)
On-Stage Tripod Mic Stand with Boom (2)
50 ft. XLR male-to-female cables (4)
50 ft. balanced 1/4 in. speaker cables (2)
We believe that performing artists should be paid fairly. We always offer a small minimum guarantee to ensure that you won’t play for free, no matter what. And for our evening headliners, we are happy to offer 20% of the bar sales to incentivize you to help us promote your show and draw out your fans and friends. If you can guarantee a draw, we may be willing to negotiate a larger guarantee. At this time we do not do cover charges or door deals.

The Day Of Your Show
Parking: The parking situation here at RBFP is… less than ideal. With that in mind, we ask that you please load in and then park your car somewhere up or down the street to leave room for paying patrons.
Load in: Plan to load in 30-60 min before your scheduled set time, unless otherwise noted.
Sound check: RBFP is a laid back environment with a cool, chill audience, so or most artists we recommend a basic 5-minute check-and-go before your set. If more time is necessary, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate.
Showtime: please respect your scheduled show start and end times. We appreciate your punctuality in starting on time, and we observe a strict 10PM curfew on live music to be kind to our neighbors.
Day-Of Contact: please direct any and all day-of contact regarding shows to Venue Director Tyler Preston at 503-839-3550.
Inclement Weather: As you know, the weather in Texas is subject to change on very short notice. If your show is threatened by inclement weather, we may cancel. However, the cancellation will be on short notice (within one hour of showtime)
